Enhanced Mysore with Adarsh Williams

Adarsh Williams is now visiting Ashtanga Monterey on a monthly basis for intensive Ashtanga Yoga and Therapeutic sessions.  Enhanced Mysore classes will include group technique instruction along with assisted self-guided practice.  This workshop is appropriate for beginner through advanced levels.  Please join us Saturday, June 19; 10am - noon.  Cost:  $10 monthly members/$15 drop in.In addition to the Mysore class, Adarsh will offer private session in Active Isolated Stretching (AIS).  Using precise bodily positioning, you will be assisted in isolating and streching muscles that may be stiff or injured.  AIS is a simple yet profound tool for flexibility, isolated strength and body awareness.  Cost for AIS is $85 per hour; bookings for AIS sessions may be made by emailing adarshwilliams@gmail.com or calling (650) 215-3777.  For more info, visit:  www.smartstretch.com

Adarsh Williams teaches a contemplative style of yoga that embraces both modern innovation and traditional wisdom.  Since 1995, Adarsh has been engaged in the field of natural healing and has received certifications in therapeutic massage and active isolated stretching.  He continues as a student of Ashtanga Yoga and its’ sister sciences of Sanskrit, Ayurveda and Bhakti.  Adarsh has continuously traveled to Asia since 2001 for study and pilgrimage and has received teaching Authorization from his late Guruji, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India.  Adarsh directs the Ashtanga Yoga Shala in Palo Alto, CA., specializing in progressive instruction for beginner through advanced levels.

Jennifer Pilotti, BS in exercise physiology from UC Davis and certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Instructor, has been a fitness professional on the Monterey Peninsula for over 7 years.  In addition to being a triathlete, Jenn has an ongoing Ashtanga Yoga practice and has studied under many authorized Ashtanga instructors over the years. She stays current on the latest research in exercise science, and has a special interest in posture and pain prevention.
